Now that Honolulu Night Market is over and I can finally wrap my head around what happened on Saturday night, I can happily say that I could not have asked for a better opportunity to style a show featuring some of my favorite labels and boutiques. I love that Hawaii’s idea of style is swiftly changing and I can only hope that the people that watched the show were intrigued by the clothing and mood of the show. I can’t wait to hear some feedback (good and bad)! more…
Street Frites is a trio of friends with a ton of stuff in common, most important (at least for this story): their love of good food and the backbone to not shy away from hard work. Because making really good french fries — and by really good we mean fries that are perfectly cooked to be crisp on the outside and tender on the inside — takes a whole lot of work. It’s a labor-intensive process, but we say bring it on, because there’s nothing quite so comforting nor so openly indulgent as deep-fried potatoes. And so, with that credo firmly in mind, we three set out to make the kind of fries that most people don’t have the time or the yen to make themselves. But why french fries?
Our answer: Why not?
Secret’s out! I’ll be taking over the creative direction and styling of the next Honolulu Night Market Fashion Show. It’s gonna be a good one, I promise.
Anyway, I hope to see you all there. Please stay tuned for more updates and behind the scenes action all happening before and after the event.
