Want to get the most from Night Market this month? Take a second to download our brand-new Honolulu Night Market app, available for free on the iTunes and Google Play markets for both iPhones and Android!
Written by Street Grindz’ Brandon Askew, a programmer and application designer with a degree in computer science and 25 years of experience with application development, the app is designed to help you find your way around Night Market easier, and keep in the loop of what’s going on each month.
“The Honolulu Night Market app gives people the chance to see what is coming to the next market and explore all the activities when they arrive,” said Askew. “The app is also a window into the community of food, fashion, art and music that they can continue to experience even after the event closes.”
The new Night Market app is strongly integrated with social media, which means that you can create a login and check in to locations around Night Market, “like” content within the app and earn points/badges to access special content and be eligible for giveaways. The app includes a user-generated photo feed that pulls from anyone who uses the #HNLNightMarket hashtag on Instagram and Facebook.
Want to see where you’re at and what’s going on nearby? The app integrates Google Maps to help users find featured mini-events, art galleries and activities throughout the area. Once you open the map, you can see your current location and, by tapping push pins on the map, you’ll be able to find things nearby.
The Honolulu Night Market app also includes a News section with the latest event-specific announcements from the Honolulu Night Market Twitter account, and a Schedule to keep you informed of the time and place of all the featured entertainment going on at Night Market.
Missed your favorite band or want to hear more of their stuff? Visit the Music tab to hear select tracks from the acts that played at Night Market.

Music to your ears: the Honolulu Night Market’s warehouse will be jumping off Saturday night with lots of unique, local vendors gathered under one roof for your shopping ease, including:
Support local agriculture this Saturday and visit Hawaiian Fresh Farms for fresh dishes by Chef Lee Anne Wong – the truck will be making the long trip from the North Shore and we guarantee it will be worth a stop. For artisan pies, look no further Sweet Revenge – word on the street has it that Kathy Masunaga will be bringing her Elvis pie — we’re not sure exactly what that will entail, but it’s safe to say it’ll be a hunka hunka burning love and perfect for this month’s #MusicFest theme.
Grass-fed is the way to go, you know. Stop by Momo Burger’s food truck at this month’s Honolulu Night Market for juicy burgers made from 100% Big Island beef. A newcomer to the night market, Jus’ Right Kettle Corn, will be offering not-too-salty, not-too-sweet popped kettle corn. Pair them for a perfect one-two food fix, from 6-11 pm at 683 Auahi Street this Saturday night.
